Who knew? A slightly modified dental drill and a micro-sandblaster could create such beautiful, inspiring, and lasting mementos.  My clients call on me to engrave gifts for weddings, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.  These gifts include personalized wine bottles, crystal decanters, wine carafes, wine glasses, perfume bottles, glass mugs, drink decanters, unity candles, memorial candles, glass frames, wood frames, pitchers, and glass candle holders.

The most rewarding accomplishment so far has been the memorial candle holder. I lost my brother a year ago  unexpectedly, and through my grief, the memorial candle was created. This glass candle holder with a battery operated candle sits with my brother’s treasures and pictures in a special place in my house that I pass several times a day. The light honors my brother’s life and somehow comforts me through my grieving process.

My clients have ordered memorial candles sent to the funeral homes. This creates a lasting memorial for their loved one.  A recent thank-you note from someone who received this candle showed the loving emotion the memorial candle served during the service. The family has kept the candle burning since the funeral, creating a lasting remembrance.

My most prized creation, a leaf carved and stained gourd, won a blue ribbon at the 2009 Texas State Fair.
